Pam Steckler of Sunshine Imports (Beaver Avenue, State College) keeps a special jar in her shop to collect donations to help "Stop the Landfill." For the past three years Pam generously matched the funds collected and donated the money to People Protecting Communities, the local grassroots organization fighting the landfill targeted for the wilderness area at the western edge of Centre County. In celebration of Earth Day 2008, Pam Steckler presents PPC volunteer, Nina Sargeant, with a check for $500. From the bottom of our hearts — Thank you, Pam!
