Protecting Today... Preserving Tomorrow

Help save 5,800 wild acres of forest habitat in the central Pennsylvania Wilds from being turned into the largest dump east of the Mississippi. Let the people in power know this area, noted for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities, is not compatible with a landfill-incinerator-industrial park complex!

WONDER WHERE WE ARE?
Here are some maps to help

This Northcentral Pennsylvania Outdoors Discovery Map adaptation has been overlaid with the 5,800-acre CLOG parcel (lavender). This is the forest where RRLLC plans to build a megadump, incinerator, and industrial park. Please note the proximity of the state parks (mottled yellow and green), state forest (green) and state game lands (tan) along with the outdoor recreation opportunity indicators throughout the region (e.g., canoe launches along the Moshannon Creek, Rock Run Trail). In addition, the Elk Scenic Drive through the PA Wilds begins at Exit 147 on I-80 and follows State Route 144 to the Elk Range.
