Protecting Today... Preserving Tomorrow

Help save 5,800 wild acres of forest habitat in the central Pennsylvania Wilds from being turned into the largest dump east of the Mississippi. Let the people in power know this area, noted for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities, is not compatible with a landfill-incinerator-industrial park complex!

People Protecting Communities and over 30 local businesses and nonprofit organizations joined together to sponsor the "Peale Walk" event on September 17th to raise public awareness about the wonderful, historic area that will be impacted if the Resource Recovery Landfill receives DEP approval.

Thanks to all our sponsors, attendees, and "worker bees" for making this a highly successful event. Enjoy the photos.
